This standard is a procedure for assessing the cleanliness of plumage by the oxygen number, which reflects the oxidizable matter content.
This procedure covers only the cleanliness of plumage as determined by oxygen number and does not relate to any other aspect of its cleanliness, such as non-oxidizable material.
